- Enter the mode of shipping that you will use for the Delivery. Examples might be Post or Courier, or might specify the name of the courier that you will use to supply the goods on the Delivery.
- In each Delivery Mode record you can enter a description in your home Language and in various translations. When you print the Delivery, the correct translation for the Language in the Delivery (shown on the 'Packaging' card) will be printed in the "Delivery Mode Text (levsattext)" field, assuming you have included that field in your Form Template design.
- If you need to prevent Freight Labels from being printed for Deliveries with particular Delivery Modes, select the Do Not Print Freight Labels option in the appropriate Delivery Mode records.
- Tax Sum
- When defining VAT Code records using the setting in the Nominal Ledger, it is possible to specify that an additional tax, such as an environmental tax, be levied. If the VAT Code of any of the rows of the originating Order is one where such an additional tax has been defined, the amount of that tax will be shown in this field. The figure is shown here for information only.
- Declared Value
- If necessary, enter the value of the shipment as declared on shipping documentation, in the Currency specified on the 'Packaging' card. This is for information only.
- If you use the [Define Packages] button on the 'Freight' card to create a list of the Delivery Packages that make up the Delivery, the total Declared Value of those Packages will be copied here on saving.
- Total Quantity
- The Total Qty field shows the total number of units in the Delivery (i.e. the sum of the quantities in the Del. Qty field in the rows). This field is also in the footer of the 'Items' card.
- Total Weight
- Default taken from
Items
- This field will contain a calculated value based on the Del. Qty and the Weight of each Item listed in the Delivery. - Total Volume
- Default taken from
Items
- This field will contain a calculated value based on the Del. Qty and the Volume of each Item listed in the Delivery. - Use Invoice Address
- When you design the Form Templates that will be used when you print Delivery Notes, Picking Lists and Frieght Labels, you can include form fields that will print the address shown on the 'Del. Address' card of the Delivery record or, if you have selected this option in a Delivery, the Invoice Address from the 'Inv. Address' card of the originating Order. to be printed instead. The form fields that are controlled by this option are "Invoice To Address ", "Invoice To Address 1 ", "Invoice To Address 2 ", "Invoice To Address 3 ", "Invoice To Address 4 ", "Invoice To Address 5 " and "Invoice To Name ". In addition, in Delivery Notes and Picking Lists only, the "Address " form field will also be controlled by this option, and the "Customer Address X " form field will print an "X" if you have selected this option.
- Electronic Shipment Created
- After marking a Delivery as OK and saving, you can use the 'Register Electronic Shipment' function on the Operations menu (Windows/macOS) or Tools menu (iOS/Android) to register a Delivery with a shipping or courier company to instruct them to collect the Items from you and to deliver them to the Customer. The function will also generate printable shipping labels. At the time of writing, you can only use this feature if you are located in the US, with FedEx as the shipping company and for US domestic shipments.
- If you use the 'Register Electronic Shipment' function in a Delivery, the Electronic Shipment Created box will be ticked as an indicator that the Delivery has been successfully registered.
