Transactions
This page describes the Transactions form in the Nominal Ledger.

The Transactions form allows you to print Transactions in batches.
You can also print an individual Transaction by opening the record and clicking the Printer icon (Windows/macOS) or selecting 'Print' from the File menu (all platforms). To print a Transaction to screen, click the Preview icon (Windows/macOS only).
The Transaction form is unusual in that you do not need to connect it to a Form Template using the 'Define Form' function. If you do not connect the form to a Form Template, Transactions will be printed using a hard-coded report format (i.e. individual Transactions will not be printed on their own pages).
If you have not connected the form to a Form Template, printing the form will take you to the following specification window:

Numeric
- Enter the Number of the Transaction that you need to be printed. You can also enter a range of Numbers separated by a colon (:).
- When entering a Transaction Number here, you must include the Fiscal Year or Sub System prefix (as shown in the 'Transactions: Browse' window). To print a Transaction that you entered directly to the Transaction register, enter, for example, "2020.3" or, for a range, "2020.3:2020.10". To print a Transaction that was created from a Sub System, enter, for example, "S/INV.200003" or "S/INV.200003:S/INV.200010" for a range.

- Use this field if you need to print Transactions from a particular period.
If you have connected the form to a Form Template, printing the form will take you to the following specification window:
- Transactions
- Range Reporting
Numeric
- Enter the Number of the Transaction that you need to be printed, including Fiscal Year or Sub System prefix as described above.
- In this case, you must enter a Transaction Number or range of Transaction Numbers: if you leave this field empty, no forms will be printed.
If you need to design a Form Template for the Transaction form, you can include the fields listed below. If you do not want to print the decimal places in numeric fields, choose the
Cut Decimals option in the record in the
Values in Text setting for the Language specified in the
Company Info setting.

Header fields will be printed once per Transaction record.

Row Fields
Row fields will be printed once for each Transaction row, so in each one you should specify a Line Height and set the Format to "Matrix":
