Introduction to the Nominal Ledger in Standard ERP

The Nominal Ledger module is the core of an accounting system. It is where every accounting event that occurs in the life of the business will be recorded. Each accounting event will be represented by a record in the Transaction register. A Transaction can be entered directly to the Nominal Ledger, or it can be created from another record such as an Invoice or a Receipt or from a stock transaction. Information in Transactions will then be used to produce the annual reports such as the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss report and Trial Balance. You can also use this information for budgeting, forecasting and analysis.
