Working with Standard Periods - Example

The Calendar illustrated below shows a week's Profile Activities for Person FF:

These Activities are to be copied to the next three weeks. First, we enter a record to the Standard Period register for the period 4/10/2004-10/10/2004 for Person FF:

The period runs for one calendar week from Monday to Sunday. This is necessary to avoid new Activities being created for weekends.

Next, we use the 'Apply Standard Period' Maintenance function to copy these Activities to the next three weeks:

We have specified that 4/10/2004 is the day that will be used in the first new Activity. So, all Activities from Monday 4/10/2004 (the first date in the Standard Period record) will be copied to Monday 11/10/2004, all Activities from 5/10/2004 will be copied to 12/10/2004 and so on. This cycle will be repeated three times. This is the result:
