Project Settings

This page introduces the Project Settings setting in the Job Costing module.


The Project Settings setting contains some miscellaneous options controlling the behaviour of various aspects of the Project register and the Project window.

To open the Project Settings setting, first ensure you are in the Job Costing module. Then, if you are using Windows or macOS, click the [Settings] button in the Navigation Centre and then double-click 'Project Settings' in the 'Settings' list. If you are using iOS or Android, select 'Settings' from the Tools menu (with 'wrench' icon) and tap 'Project Settings' in the 'Settings' list. Fill in the fields as described below. Then, to save changes and close the window, click the [Save] button (Windows/macOS) or tap √ (iOS/Android). To close the window without saving changes, click the close box (Windows/macOS) or tap < (iOS/Android).

The Project Settings setting is spread over six cards. To view specific cards, click or tap one of the six named tabs:

The options on the 'Terms' card control the behaviour of various aspects of the Project window. The options on the other five cards allow you to set defaults for the options on the 'Time & Purchases', 'Stock & Materials' and 'Invoicing' cards of the Project window. In each Project, these options will determine the information that will be included in the Project Invoices that you will create for each Project.
