Introduction to the Items Out Register

A Rental Reservation is a booking of a Rental Item for a Customer for a particular period of time. The Reservation assigns the Rental Item to the Customer for the specified period so it will not be available to be rented to other Customers. After the Customer has taken possession of the Rental Item, the Reservation will control the creation of rental charges The Reservation does not record the Customer taking possession of the Rental Item or update rental stock: these tasks are carried out by Items Out records.
