Introduction to the Production Register

This register is used to produce Stocked Items using Recipes i.e. to build them from components for holding in stock. Such "Productions" are normally the result of a production order. When a Production is reported as "Finished", the stock levels of the input Items are reduced, and the stock of the output Item is increased. A Nominal Ledger Transaction can be generated if required (i.e. if you are maintaining a stock valuation in the Nominal Ledger). To ensure this happens, any output Item should be entered as a Stocked Item.
