Introduction to the Revaluation Register

If you need to change the Depreciation Model used for an Asset and/or the figure used as the basis of the depreciation calculation, you should not make the change in the Asset record itself. Instead you should enter a record in the Revaluation register that contains the new information. This will mean that the original record in the Asset register will remain unchanged, so historical calculations of depreciation for reporting purposes will not be affected, and it will also allow a change history to be maintained for the Asset.
