Asset Status Examples - Changing Department and Person

In this example, an Asset will be moved from one Department to another. When the Asset was purchased, it was registered in the "GEN" Department:

Moving the Asset to the "SALES" Department will be achieved using an Asset Status record. In this record, specify the new Department and set the Type to Movement. There is no need to specify the old Department:

After marking this Asset Status record as OK and saving, the change will be shown in the Asset History report:

If the Person responsible for the Asset changes at the same time, you must register this change using a second Asset Status record. This time choose Responsible as the Type and enter the Signature of the new Person in the Person field. Again, there is no need to specify the old Person:

Once again, the change will be shown in the Asset History report after you have marked the Asset Status record as OK and saved it:
