Loading an Existing Database and Company

Start FirstOffice just like any other Windows, Linux or Macintosh application, by double-clicking the program icon. FirstOffice will load the database named "1Office.HDB". If this is not present in the folder or directory, a new database will be created automatically.

If you have a single Company in your database, that will be loaded by default and you will be ready to start work.

If you have more than one Company in your database, you will be asked to select one before work can begin.

Double-click the appropriate Company in the list, or highlight it and press the Enter key on your keyboard. The database is now ready to use.
