Operations Menu - Stock Movement - Print Stock Movement Invoices
This page describes the 'Print Stock Movement Invoices' function on the
Operations menu in the Stock Movement record window. If you are using iOS or Android, the 'Print Stock Movement Invoices' function is on the Tools menu (with 'wrench' icon).
---
The 'Print Stock Movement Invoices' function satisfies a legal requirement in Portugal (Artigo 38.? of the Código do IVA). It allows for an Invoice Number to be assigned to a Stock Movement and for the Stock Movement to be printed as a Stock Movement Invoice.
Before using this function, carry out the following preparation work:
- Enter a Number Series for the Invoice Numbers in the Number Series - Stock Movement Invoices setting.
- In Portugal (i.e. if the VAT Law in the Company Info setting is "Portuguese"), use the Legal Record Numbers setting in the Sales Ledger to enter a number series for the Official Numbers that will be assigned to Stock Movement Invoices. If necessary, you can enter separate number series for each Branch and/or Local Machine. In each one, the Register should be "Stock Movements Consignment Invoices" and the Selection should not be "Manual".
- Design a Form Template to be used when printing Stock Movement Invoices, and assign that Form Template to the Stock Movement Invoices form using the 'Define Form' function.
To be able to print a Stock Movement as a Stock Movement Invoice, the following conditions must be met:
- You must have created the Stock Movement from a Sales Order.
- You must have marked the Stock Movement as Sent (if there is a Via Location) and Received.
- You must have saved all changes to the Stock Movement.
- In Portugal (i.e. if the VAT Law in the Company Info setting is "Portuguese"), the Type of the Stock Movement must be "Sales Consignment Stock".
When you select the 'Print Stock Movement Invoices' function, an Invoice No., Invoice Date (the current date) and, in Portugal only, an Invoice Official No. will be assigned to the Stock Movement. The Stock Movement will then be printed using the Stock Movement Invoices form.
