Introduction to the Internal Order Register

The Internal Order register is used in situations where a process of request and authorisation needs to be followed before a Stock Depreciation or Stock Movement can be recorded. Stock Depreciation records are used for the withdrawal from stock of items for internal use and the writing-off of stock, and are described here. Stock Movements allow for the movement of stock between Locations, and are described here.

The Internal Order register might be used in a retail business to organise the moving of Items from stock to the demonstration or training room, or when it is necessary to change the equipment that is used internally. In such examples, the demonstration and training rooms should be separate Locations.
