In all three circumstances, this is the Item being repaired: at other times in these pages "repair item" has been used when referring to such Items. The term "service item" has not been used, to avoid confusion with Service Items (Items whose Item Type on the 'Pricing' card of the Item record has been set to Service). The term "Service Stock" is used when referring to the repair items that are in the workshop at any one time. Service stock is thus separate to stock held for resale (maintained using the Stock module) and has no implications for stock values. Repair items are signed in and out of service stock by means of Service Stock Transactions. Previous Next Top |
