The Web Client feature allows you to log in to your Standard ERP database from a web browser. In other words, it allows you to work in the database from a browser as though it is a normal Standard ERP client. If you need to put a link to a Web Client in your webshop, create an Element in which the Type is "Webclient Link" and add it to the appropriate Page or parent Element:

In a browser, the "Webclient Link" Element will contain a link with the label "Open Webclient" (Web Text 29020). The link will be contained in <div class="webclient_link">.The link will only be displayed to a browser user who has logged in to the webshop, so it may be appropriate to add the Element to a Page that is connected to a Structure record in which you have selected the Require login for this and all child nodes option.

The link will open the Web Client log-in page in a new tab (i.e. the user must log in to the database as well as into the webshop).

More details about the Web Client can be found on the Allowing Logging in from a Browser (Web Client) page. Note however that while in general you can use a Web Client over an http connection, the "Open Webclient" link provided by the "Webclient Link" Element requires an https connection and therefore you will need to specify an HTTPS Port and to select the Use HTTPS option in the Program Mode register and to obtain the necessary certificates.
