Create Menu - Validation E-mail

A Person can use their Email Address to log in to Standard ERP, instead of their Signature. For this reason, each user who will log in to Standard ERP must have an Email Address specified in their Person record (on the 'Sales' card), and it must be a valid address.

When a Person logs in for the first time, an email address validation mail will be sent to their Email Address (they will be asked to specify an Email Address if there isn't one in their Person record). The Person should follow the link in the validation mail to confirm that their Email Address is valid.

If you would like an email address validation mail to be sent to a user immediately after entering their Person record, save the Person record and then choose this 'Validation E-mail' function from the Create menu.

If a user has a Global User record, the Email Address that they can use to log in will be the one in that Global User record. In that situation, you should send the email address validation mail from their Global User record, not from their Person record (again, using the 'Validation E-mail' function on the Create menu).

If you need to check whether an Email Address has already been validated, use the 'Check E-mail Address' function on the Create menu.
