Price Lists and Prices - The Base Price

Each Item has a normal selling price. You should record this normal selling price in the Price field in each Item record. This documentation will usually use the term "Base Price" when referring to an Item's normal selling price.

In many cases, the Base Price will be the only price you need. If you always sell an Item at the same price (or with an ad hoc discount), whoever the Customer, you will be able to rely on the Item's Price and not worry about the Price List feature.
